The Academic Gym:
Where Bodies Move and Brains Grow
T.A.G. isn't tutoring. It's a complete, movement-based structured literacy system built on the Science of Reading.
We work with children who learn differently โ turning frustration into confidence, one session at a time. Our coaches are trained specialists who understand that every child's brain is wired uniquely, and we meet them exactly where they are.
Movement First
Physical activation primes the brain for learning.
Rhythmic Encoding
Beat and rhythm lock phonics patterns into memory.
Explicit Instruction

The T.A.G. Method: 4 Phases to Reading Mastery
Every session follows a proven 4-phase progression that activates the brain before asking it to learn.
๐ฅ Neurochemical Activation
HIIT Movement
We start every session with athletic movement to flood the brain with dopamine and norepinephrine โ the chemicals that enhance focus, memory, and learning readiness.
๐ต Rhythmic Phonological Encoding
Beat & Rhythm
Using beat, rhythm, and chant, students encode phoneme-grapheme patterns into long-term memory in a way that feels like play, not work.
๐ Word-Level Reading & Spelling Transfer
Application
Students apply learned patterns to real words โ reading, spelling, and writing with increasing independence and accuracy.
๐ Mastery Through Movement
Kinesthetic Mastery
Students demonstrate mastery kinesthetically โ moving through spelling relays, phonics circuits, and multisensory activities that cement the learning for good.

What T.A.G. Families Are Saying
"Finding Coach V. and enrolling in T.A.G. has been an absolute game changer for my son and for our family! In the matter of just a few months, he's managed to take a frustrated, ADHD-labeled, low-confidence boy and turn him into a thriving student. Rather than confine him to a seat and expect him to learn, this movement-based program fires up his brain in a whole new way. I am no longer the worried, frustrated mom looking for accommodations. I can now be the proud and excited mom who gets to watch her son live his full potential. THANK YOU!"

Beyond academics, I've noticed how the program helps boost children's confidence. A priceless benefit that goes far beyond the classroom."

Questions Families Ask Most
Traditional tutoring repeats what didn't work in the classroom. T.A.G. is built on the Science of Reading and uses a multisensory, movement-based approach. Every session begins with physical activation to prime the brain, followed by rhythmic encoding, explicit instruction, and kinesthetic mastery โ a system designed for how kids with ADHD, dyslexia, and learning differences actually learn best.
No diagnosis is required. While many of our families come to us after an ADHD or dyslexia diagnosis, we work with all children who are struggling with reading โ regardless of whether they have a formal evaluation. Our methods benefit any child who learns differently.
We work with children from PreK through Middle School. Our programs are designed to adapt to each child's developmental stage, ensuring the instruction meets them where they are and builds foundational skills at the right pace.
Many families see engagement shifts in just 2โ3 sessions โ children who previously resisted reading start showing willingness and even excitement. Measurable reading gains typically appear within 6โ8 weeks of consistent sessions, though every child's journey is unique.
Yes! Our teletherapy program is available nationwide via a secure video platform. Virtual sessions follow the exact same T.A.G. method, including movement components, and have proven to be just as effective as in-person instruction for many families.
